Botanical name:Stachys byzantina

This tiny shrub will grow less than 1' tall and has medium-size, greyish-green leaves with blue and lavender flowers that bloom in the spring. This shrub is grown more for its velvety leaves than the flowers. It is drought tolerant once it's established. Be careful not to overwater.

This beautiful evergreen shrub can reach 6-15' tall, depending on the variety. It is intended for growth in filtered sun to shade, with regular water and more in hot summer areas. They make excellent container plants. White, pink or red flowers bloom in winter. Camellia prefers well draining, acid soil. Mulch well to keep roots cool.

This colorful groundcover will grow in shade or sun with slightly moist soil. It is an evergreen with purplish rosettes that spread quickly on purplish stems. These summer-blooming perennials form clumps with large, grass-like leaves. Its showy flowers, resembling lilies, are borne in clusters on stems held well above the foliage. Daylilies can be found in many colors: yellow, orange, red, purple, pink or multi-colored. Hemerocallis does better in well-draining soil and with extra summer water. Hemerocallis are very hardy,with few or none pests/problems.

Crimson Queen Japanese Maple

This beautiful tree reaches 10' tall and wide, growing at a moderate pace. Acer needs afternoon shade in hot inland areas and regular watering and more during hot summer months. It prefers acid, well draining soil. Leaves are dissected, with an overall weeping habit. Foliage is burgundy in spring, changing to red in fall before dropping. This is a spectacular tree for Asian style gardens.

A small, evergreen tree with large leaves that are reddish bronze and turn green as they mature, this loquat is highlighted by clusters of small, white, fragrant flowers that are borne in the spring on branch tips.

Shiny Xylosma

Botanical name:Xylosma congestum

This medium-sized, mounding evergreen shrub with lustrous yellow-green foliage produces new growth that is tinted rosy-red. It has a growth habit that is loose, graceful and spreading.
