Martha Washington Geranium

Common name:Martha Washington Geranium
Botanical name:Pelargonium X domesticum

Pelargonium domesticum is a shrubby perennial. Erect or somewhat spreading to 3'. Leaves heart shaped to kidney shaped, dark green, 2"-4" wide, with crinkled margins, unequal sharp teeth. Large, showy flowers in clusters of white and many shades of pink, red, lavender, and purple with brilliant blotches and markings of darker colors.

Variegated Italian Buckthorn

Botanical name:Rhamnus alaternus ' Variegata'

An evergreen shrub grows to 6'-8' tall and wide. Leaves edged with creamy white. Remove the green shoots when they appear or else they will take over plant. Needs little or no water.

Jerusalem Sage

Botanical name:Phlomis fruticosa

This hardy perennial is a useful, old-time garden plant with coarse, woolly gray green, wrinkled leaves and yellow, 1" flowers in ball-shaped whorls. It handles drought and poor soils but needs full sun.

New Zealand Flax

New Zealand Flax is a large, bold plant with stiffly vertical, sword-like, green leaves that arise from its base. It should be grown under full sun for best color. Varieties will offer different growth habits and leaf color.

Botanical name:Erigeron karvinskianus

This low mounding perennial, with fine leaves and white to pinkish, daisy-like flowers, is an excellent asset to rock gardens.
